Terms of Service

Welcome to GreenPOS. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GreenPOS desktop application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by GreenPOS ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GreenPOS is a point-of-sale (POS) system designed for small businesses. The Service includes a desktop application available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, along with optional cloud services for account management, billing, and data synchronization.

The desktop application operates primarily offline. Your business data, including products, sales, customers, and reports, is stored locally on your device. Cloud services are used only for account authentication, license management, and optional backup features.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
  • Promptly update your account information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. You may not share your account credentials with others or allow multiple individuals to use a single account, except as permitted by your subscription plan.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

GreenPOS offers a free trial period and paid plans. Payment is made manually via JazzCash or EasyPaisa (for customers in Pakistan) or by international bank transfer (for customers outside Pakistan).

  • After sending your payment, submit the payment transaction ID through your billing dashboard
  • Your plan is activated once we manually verify the payment
  • Plans do not auto-renew — your plan expires at the end of the paid period and you pay again to renew
  • Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into GreenPOS. Your business data is stored locally on your device by default. We do not access, collect, or transmit your business data (products, sales, customers, inventory) unless you explicitly enable a cloud sync or backup feature.

You are solely responsible for backing up your data. GreenPOS provides built-in backup and restore functionality, but we recommend maintaining additional backups of critical business data.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the desktop application
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any license or authentication mechanism
  • Use the Service to process transactions for illegal goods or services
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Share your account with unauthorized users or resell access to the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, and underlying technology, is owned by GreenPOS and protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREENPOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination by contacting getgreenpos@gmail.com.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which GreenPOS operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
